Kitchen Progress / Micro Wave Cabinet

The Micro wave / Dishwasher Cabinet is well underway, due to the Microwave being a Convection oven suitable venting is required to keep the unit cool. An extraction fan & vent have been added to the sliding window directly above & to the rear of the Cabinet. The frame work has been completed & mounting points constructed.

The final stages of the Shower build.

The Shower has now been completed with the exception of the roof vent unit, using SikaFlex for the grouting was a major pain due to it tacking off quickly & causing problems when reworking at joints. I use a lot of this product & find it excellent but not for this use.

The grouting with SikaFlex is completed, this was not a fun job.

The Frame work has been completed & the shower lined with 6mm Fibrous/Cement board & then water proofed. Once the cubicle was completed all of the necessary holes for the plumbing were installed, then the Tiling was started.

All of the wall panels were braced to reduce vibration before the tiles were glued in place, The tiles were set on Quality rubberized cement & the grouting has been done with SikaFlex to add strength.

Kitchen Equipment & Plans

The Kitchen will be fitted out with an EvaKool 210 litre upright Fridge/Freezer, the Sink is a double bowl stainless steel Blanco unit, I have purchased  a Thetford 3 burner RV unit & slide-out Range hood”. The Oven I am using is a 42L Panasonic combined Micro wave, convection & Grill. Kitchen furniture will be constructed using New Guinea Rosewood veneered Ply sheet, Pine framing & New Guinea Rosewood Highlights. all lighting will be 12v Led units. The Fridge has now been moved to hall way to the Bedroom & will sit directly under the central roof vent thus allowing for good ventilation, The  slide-out full height Pantry is to be built in on the end of the rear end of the Kitchen bench directly in front of the Fridge. A Dinette for 4 has been fitted opposite the kitchen.

A Vegetable & Wine cabinet will be constructed immediately forward of the Shower unit in the galley way between the Bedroom and the Kitchen area, forward of this will be the 210 litre fridge & directly forward of the fridge will be the full height slide-out Pantry. The pantry unit opens into the Kitchen, both the Vegetable cabinet & fridge open into the Galley way.

We have decided to add a dish washer to the Kitchen Equipment, the unit selected is a Dish drawer which will be installed into the bottom of the Micro Wave cabinet.
