The work has started.

The majority of the Bus has been stripped out now, all of the seats & the baggage racks , Heaters, TV, VCR & interior paneling have been removed.

I have found some rust in the frame work behind the paneling but it is all surface rust & easy to treat, the flooring requires repairs in places as the timber was laid over sheet metal which allowed any water to sit between the timber & sheeting causing wood rot mainly around the holes in the sheeting for the heater system which has been removed.

Once I have cut out the flooring where the Shower is to be built I will replace all of the timber flooring which is damaged, after this is completed I am going to drill a number of holes in strategic places & run fish oil between the timber & metal sheeting. with this done under the timber & use of fungal shield applied to the top this should stop any further problems in the floor.

I have been looking into systems for self leveling of the Motor-home, after running through the options of using the Air-Bag system with modification of fitting Hydraulics I decided due tho the possibility of leak down on both of these systems I would go with a Mechanical screw leg system similar to that used as Landing Legs on Semi-trailers.

These can be electrically powered & have ample lifting capacity.
